Washington’s northerly rainforests are just decoration for the many fishing opportunities offered by the Northwestern Coastal state.
Washington state requires that all anglers age 15 and above carry a valid fishing license with them. Because Washington has such a wide variety of licenses, we’ve chosen the most applicable adult licenses for our list. However, there are also Youth and Senior discounts, special rates for disabled individuals and active military service members, along with a few other exemptions and discounts available.

Washington State allows you to choose what type of water you would like to fish. There are also combination fishing licenses that provide access to all of Washington’s fishable waterways.
Short-term licenses are automatically combination of water licenses.
Saltwater fishing also gives you access to shellfish and seaweed harvesting from Washington’s coastal waters.
However, it is the responsibility of the angler to keep track of all bag limits, regulations, and temporary or location-based limits on their fishing.
